Dinner Around the World (DAW) started over a glass of wine in Sonoma County in 2023. A few friends wanted to stop just talking about travel and start tasting it. We picked a country, split up the dishes, and cooked our first feast — a full Afghan spread that set the tone for everything that followed.

Since then, we've hosted a new country every month, from Cameroon to Qatar to places difficult to find on a map. Along the way, we figured out what makes these nights actually work — the right recipes, the cultural context that turns a meal into a story, and the logistics that keep hosting from becoming a chore.
